OluwaTosin Adegbola, Ph.D is a tenured associate professor in the School of Global Journalism and Communication at Morgan State University. Her academic backgrounds are in public relations, English literature, mass communications and publishing, with degrees and training from Kentucky State University, Howard University and Columbia University.
Dr. Tosin, as she is typically called, is coach of Morgan’s award-winning Honda Campus All-Star Challenge team. Her research works and interests are focused on women’s images and the ideologies that lend themselves to better understanding societal relationships with women’s images. As a professional she has worked as a publicist, media relations specialist and consultant for various entities.
Internationally bred since the age of two, Dr. Tosin was raised in Europe (United Kingdom), and Africa (Nigeria and The Gambia), with cultural influences from more than a few countries. Under the pen name T. Richard, she recently published Skinny Women are Perfect, a novel that chronicles the lives of four seemingly perfect friends who appear to have the world at their feet and explores issues of love, career success, and self-esteem.
